The Champion
gs: Russ McCubbin (Deputy Carnes) Sherri Stoner (Jessie Courtney) Deborah Wakeman (Kathy Courtney) Frank Ashmore (Phillip) Hugh Gillin (Sheriff John Roland) Judson Scott (Lt. James)
Lydia is charged with the murder of Charles, found guilty, and sentenced to death. However, while Lydia is being prepared for disintegration, the Inspector General Philip arrives and halts the execution. He is a twin brother of Martin (having been created by the same zygote mother), and he wishes to further examine the case.
While delivering weapons to Tucson, Donovan and Kyle get involved in the problems of a small town. Apparently the Sheriff made arrangements with the Visitors to deliver half of the local livestock. Donovan organizes the town's own Resistance and leads them into battle against the Visitors and the local collaborators.
On board the Los Angeles Mother Ship, Philip determines that Lydia's rights were violated and that she was wrongly accused. She is offered "trial by combat" against Diana, and the two fight. But just as Lydia is about to finish Diana, Philip interrupts, explaining that he has discovered new evidence -- there were additional fingerprints found on the poison vial!

# NOTE: This episode has a new starting with a narration. The music is more in style of the movies and previous stars who left are no longer in the credits. Although Martin had been discovered to be a 5th columnist and was killed a year later by Diana, official reports portray him as having died to save Diana. Phillip (and probably most visitors) are unaware of Martin's 5th Column loyalties.
# Phillip is pretty sure that Lydia didn't try to poison Charles, but Diana instead.
# Although in last episode, eels' poison would enhance Diana, it seems scorpion venom can kill visitors.
# The new narration starting says the Visitors came to Earth in 15 mother ships; such an exact (and low) number had not been established in the movies.
# The new narration introduces Julie as "Juliette Parish". They still call her Julie in the show.
